A virtuoso
of major complications, Jaquet Droz presents its "Tourbillon Réserve
de Marche", an exceptional timepiece of cutting-edge technical
sophistication that explores every dimension of Time.
For the very
first time, the Manufacture Jaquet Droz has endowed a single model
with three legendary complications: the Tourbillon, the Retrograde
Date and the Retrograde Power Reserve. This breath-taking technical
and design challenge was taken up by the master watchmakers of
the house, who have surpassed themselves in their resolute, well-orchestrated
quest for excellence. They have succeeded in making each complication
a perfect statement in visual harmony.
A masterpiece
of ingenious design, the "Tourbillon Réserve de Marche" features
a 47 mm watchcase that takes a three-dimensional approach to reading
indicators with a dial, a bezel, rings, displays and hands made
of black gold and blued steel, each in their appointed place,
for a clear and architectural view.
In the top
half of the dial, the Retrograde Date and Power Reserve displays
(power reserve 88 hours), curve symmetrically out from the hour-minute
dial against the black opaline face, whereas the tourbillon mechanism
below, embellished with the Côtes de Genève decoration, beats
like a heart in perpetual motion.
The "Tourbillon
Réserve de Marche" is a worthy addition to the "Hommage La Chaux-de-Fonds
1738" Collection, which pays tribute to the "Grandes Complications"
cherished by the 18th century master himself, Pierre Jaquet Droz.
This exquisite timekeeper comes in two versions, 18-carat white
gold or red gold, with a rolled-edge hand-crafted black alligator
strap. Each version will be brought out in a Numerus Clausus limited
edition of 28, each bearing its own engraved series number on
the caseback.
