Sports Utility Watch Entering the sports watch field for the first time, Jaquet Droz confirms its mastery of the aesthetic and technical concerns of the 21st century, based on the Manufacture's values over the last two centuries: boldness, a sense of adventure and the love of a challenge.

Inspired by the design of the "Grande Seconde", the central icon of the company's history and know-how, the "Grande Seconde Sports Utility Watch" is a new expression of this spirit. It is set to compete with the finest examples in watchmaking and is already part of the mythology attached to major sports racing competitions.

With a fluted bezel in a sharp and sporty design, hollowed out lugs, claws cut from the block protecting the crown: the 45 mm steel case combines solidity and masculine elegance. These attributes are reflected in the treated rubber dial which has a three-dimensional highlight, combining a totally new play of volumes with the lightness of the Super-LumiNova skeleton hands, tattooed - like the indicators - in one of the ingrained colours of racing sports: orange.

Shockproof, and fitted with a self-winding double-barrel mechanical movement, which sets in vibrant motion a 22-carat gold oscillating weight, the "Grande Seconde SUW" is waterproof up to 88 meters and has a vulcanised rubber strap. The lines of the patented folding clasp, designed to protect the push buttons, recall those of the claws and the design of the bezel. Massive, light, ultra-resistant and perfectly profiled, the "Grande Seconde SUW" takes technical optimisation and Swiss watchmaking tradition to greater heights. A new way of affirming that on Time's race track the finest trophies are won in a matter of seconds.
