Crafted according to the principles of hand workmanship, and in keeping with the noblest watchmaking traditions, Les Douze Villes by Jaquet Droz sublimates the art of time. It is equipped with a Jaquet Droz Calibre 3663-4, a mechanical double-barrel self-winding movement with 72-hour power-reserve, jumping hour display, time-zone indication on a disc carrying the names of twelve cities, and secret signature on the movement. The "sunray" decorative pattern on its splendid 18-carat white gold oscillating weight is revealed through a transparent sapphire crystal case-back, along with the "côtes de Genève" ribbing on its bridges, bars and plate. Its slate-grey dial radiates a blend of sophistication and understatement. In its centre, a "guilloché" silvered subdial is framed by an applied metal ring secured with blued-steel screws and magnified by a domed sapphire crystal. A blued steel "Lancine" type hand indicates the minutes. The jumping hours appear through a window, as do the city names. The bassine-shaped case, "Les Douzes Villes" pushpiece and the engraved crown are crafted in 18-carat white gold.
A wealth of finesse and artistry... An aesthetic embodiment of the Jaquet Droz Manufacture, celebrating distinctive moments in the life of citizens of the world. Les Douze Villes, a model in the "Hommage La Chaux-de-Fonds 1738" line, named after the first Manufacture founded by Pierre Jaquet Droz and the vibrant source of emotions past, present and future.
