Dubey
& Schaldenbrand - "Lady Star"
The
moon … the only natural satellite of the earth. It is a solid, almost
spherical body 3,479 km in diameter and, revolves in a slightly
elliptical orbit about the earth. Since its period of rotation is
identical with its period of revolution, it always keeps the same
face toward the earth.
The moon (together with the sun) plays a significant role in our
world. It is responsible for the tidal action of our seas and oceans
… it is a source of light … it affects our cultures and … strangely
enough, our moods.
In tribute to the moon, Dubey & Schaldenbrand are extremely proud
to introduce their latest Lady's watch that … despite its small
size … is able to offer both a moon-phase indicator and … a center
hand date indicator.
"Lady Star" takes on the renowned Aerodyn tonneau-shaped case along
with the domed sapphire crystal. The sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective
coating on both sides in order to ensure perfect legibility.
With its stunning "diamond-luster" guilloche dial along with the
"gold-powdered" Arabic numerals at each quarter hour, this particular
design brings to mind Dubey & Schaldenbrand's "Aerodyn Celebrity"
introduced in 2001.
"Lady Star" is limited to 350 pieces in 316 L stainless surgical
steel and … 75 pieces in 5N 18 K Rose Gold.
