Eterna Madison Three-Hands
Swiss
watch manufacturer Eterna will be launching a new addition to
its hand-wound line - Eterna Madison Three-Hands. The new timepiece
will be fitted with Eterna’s 3501 movement, the second generation
of the original 3500 calibre. Madison Three-Hands will also be
following in the footsteps of the first Madison model in its aesthetic
qualities.
Eterna
Madison Three-Hands has been fitted with the hand-wound 3501 movement.
This rectangular calibre features a simple time display in a dependable,
aesthetically pleasing design. The hour, minute and second hands
are positioned centrally on the dial. The winding wheels in this
new movement are mounted on ball-bearings; the reduced friction
will increase the enjoyment of winding up the watch as a daily
ritual, while substantially lengthening intervals between servicing.
Four
screws hold the anti-reflective sapphire crystal back with its
beautiful bridges and fine Geneva strips. Aficionados of mechanical
watches will appreciate the calibre’s extraordinary bridge arrangement
and decorative quality.
The
elegant slim-line Eterna Madison Three-Hands tonneau case is made
of polished stainless steel, and is fitted with a domed sapphire
crystal watch glass. In contrast to the limited Madison models,
the long sides of the case have a finely mitred finish. As is
typical for Eterna, the sunray-brushed dial arching from six to
twelve o’clock has been kept in subtle, unobtrusive shades of
colour. The Pavé structure in the centre, the bar index marks
and rhodium-plated dauphine hands emphasise the elegance of this
timepiece.
Eterna
Madison Three-Hands is available in three dial colours - light
grey, anthracite and off-white. The first comes with a brown crocodile-leather
strap and polished stainlesssteel folding clasp; the other two
models sport a black crocodile-leather strap also fitted with
a folding clasp.
