Time evolution: Burgond

DESIGNS MARKED BY HISTORY AND TECHNOLOGY…
PORTRAIT OF BURGOND

Impassioned by history, Cédric Gorgas y Galan, the driving force behind this project, gives homage to the ancient Burgonde kingdom, of which Geneva was the Capitol…
Burgond is a marque of recent birth within the Swiss watchmaking world, yet it is pleased to present two models in its young collection. In searching for noble and uncommon materials, Burgond has evidenced a preference for petrified wood from Madagascar, which is approximately 200 million years old. Thus its first creation ties together 'the past in time' with 'the time that passes'.
The marque has innovated since its debut. After the originality of its premier watch face, the company produces for its second watch a watch case designed in Damascus steel. Similar to a tree's grain or rings, the revealed layers of steel, as brought out with the cutting, give this timepiece an exclusive, exotic character.
By bringing together people renowned for their watchmaking savoir-faire, Burgond has perfected these two refined, highly technical models, fabricated by hand. In line with this, the marque will commercialize its watches in limited series. With the aid of Ulrich Rammelt, technical Counselor, and by the love of beautiful workmanship, Cédric Gorgas y Galan has capitalized on his dreams...
